ARMAMERICAN RENEWABLE METALSCRITICAL MINERALS PROCESSING · LLC
VETERAN-OWNED · BESSEMER, ALABAMA · EST. 2019

America's critical minerals are already mined. They're just locked in the waste.

ARM recovers high-purity rare earth elements and critical metals from e-waste, mine tailings, coal ash and industrial residues — in a single continuous, closed-loop process, at a fraction of the time and cost of conventional solvent extraction.

THE BOTTLENECK

WHY DOMESTIC SUPPLY STALLS
RESERVE

The United States holds vast reserves of critical minerals.

They are not missing. They are misfiled — sitting inside material the country has already dug up, burned, or thrown away.

LOCK

Those reserves are locked inside waste streams.

E-waste, mine tailings, coal ash, electric arc furnace dust and other industrial residues — complex, multi-metal, and difficult to separate.

CONSTRAINT

Conventional processing cannot scale fast enough.

Solvent extraction is slow, capital-heavy and waste-generating. The gap is not geology. It is a processing bottleneck.

02

THE PLATFORM

ONE CONTINUOUS CLOSED LOOP

ARM's transformational technology is a multi-purpose processing platform that produces high-purity critical minerals and valuable metal co-products in a single, closed-loop process.

Selective leaching, continuous ion exchange and simulated moving bed chromatography are integrated end to end. Once metals are transferred into solution the platform is feedstock agnostic, enabling selective separation and high purification of complex multi-metal mixtures. The systems are modular and skid-mounted, so capacity scales by replication rather than by rebuild.

FULL TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
STAGE 01

Selective leaching

Target metals are transferred out of the solid waste matrix and into solution.

STAGE 02

Continuous ion exchange

The loaded solution is concentrated and conditioned without batch handling.

STAGE 03

Simulated moving bed chromatography

Adjacent rare earths and critical metals are separated to high purity, continuously.

STAGE 04

Product finishing & loop return

Functional oxides and metal co-products are recovered; reagents return to the loop.

05 · WHERE WE ARE

Built in Bessemer. Backed by the Department of Energy, EPRI, USDA and the State of Alabama.

From a 2019 DOE award recovering rare earths from coal mining waste, ARM has advanced through bench, pilot and demonstration scale — and into coal ash and electric arc furnace dust under two consecutive Alabama Research and Development Enhancement Fund awards.
